  2. Owner aging along with classic Hatteras

Over in the Tech section, Pascal's thread on repowering has a couple of recent posts that got my attention on owner aging. Rather than continuing that discussion off topic in that thread I am starting one on the subject here. My Admiral is fond of saying "life is what happens as you are making...

  6. Broker Creativity

I just received the following from a well respected broker who has a stellar reputation: "First though, she has 6000 hours on her mains and 4000 on the generators. The fact that these engines could go so long is a testament to how well she has been cared for." Things are very tough in this...

  8. Supreme Court Decision is Bad for Fishing

Let's face it. The Supreme Court's decision is just plain bad for fishing. There are already far too many weddings that I am forced to attend that interfere with my fishing. And now there will be even more - lots more - and they all want to have them in the "nice weather". Hell, even part of my...

Thanks for any replys, comments, or suggestions. I am a long time fan of Hatteras Boats that goes back to my childhood with memories of chartered fishing trips on the gulf. I have always owned some type of boat, which all have been 24ft and under. This year I will be 50, my wife is close behind,...

  11. Forum Guidelines

In the past several months I have received several emails and PM's pertaining to forum activity - especially as it relates to the Everything Else Sandbar content. 13. Had the USCG snooping around yesterday

I wasn't here, but two others said we had two USCG men taking 'well over one hundred" pictures of documented boats at the marina.... Heck, all told we have 6 documented boats.... 14. Mad and just don't want to take it anymore

I am a calm individual. However! My wife and I own and operate a small business. Never had any medical problems. Our Insurance premium tripled since OC. This is just too much.. Anyone else experiencing this sort of jump? And to top it off I was turned down for a CT scan to check a pain. The...

  18. Flibs

Who all is going? Anything on the agenda for a get together? Will FLIBS show up in all caps in this post or will it look stupid with lower case letters? Will Trump ever learn to keep his mouth shut? Should I have asked that last question?

  19. Clean looking 58my (18'2") gets major price cut

This boat was listed by the owners very recently for $450K http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1985/Hatteras-Motor-Yacht-2069566/Oceanport/NJ/United-States These folks at Red Line Liquidators now have it listed for $299. Looks like they traded it in on a new boat and these folks now plan to move...

  20. Somebody listed my boat for sale...and it's NOT!

I was poking around on YachtWorld today, trying to get an idea of what my boat might sell for today. No, not because I’m looking to sell, but because it’s that time of year to revisit insurance and I am looking at what I am paying for an agreed value for hull coverage versus what I need the agreed...
