  1. Ft. Myers Boat Show

Went to the show today. Ten bucks admission not bad. Plenty of CC mfgs in the show and a number of good boating related vendors. The ticket stub had a drink bogo at several places down town so we went to "The Lodge" for a brew and deep fried pickles. Not bad, good show.

  2. Older boat loan.....Who?

Did a search, but almost all the posts I found were several years old....so I figured I'd ask the experts here to see what/who you guys know.... My brother is closing in on an 89 50' Bertram and is having trouble finding financing up here in Ohio due to the age of the boat. Seems lenders up here...

  3. 40' DCMY Gas? or Diesel? or 43' MY

There are a couple of 40' MY near me for sale that have 454 Crusaders for power and they are selling for a what I figure is a good, fair price. David Pascoe says gas engines are not a bad idea in a boat 40' and below. I was wondering what you owners think?? I'm wondering about fuel mileage...

  5. You've Gotta See This

I know political posts are sort of taboo on here, but this is just too good not to share... at least until it's removed. Just saw this on Fox and LOVED it! Home Depot's Ken Langone gave Cavuto an ear full! ...

  6. The new Bertram 35

We've talked about this many times: Bring back the popular old designs but updated with the new technology. How about it, Hatteras? http://www.powerandmotoryacht.com/boats/bertram-35?utm_source=rhumbline&utm_medium=email&utm_content=textlink&utm_campaign=161102_pmy_daily

  7. Flibs

Who all is going? Anything on the agenda for a get together? Will FLIBS show up in all caps in this post or will it look stupid with lower case letters? Will Trump ever learn to keep his mouth shut? Should I have asked that last question?

  8. Sold The Blue Bayou

I dont know where to start....The thought that the day you sell a boat could be a happy day does not apply. We are very sad to say the least. The whole selling procedure with the broker and potential buyers turned out to be a horrible thing. It was very hard to sell a moving target. As most of...

The ICW and about everywhere I've been even in the ocean is loaded with debris. A lot of it particularly submerged. This one was a real beaut.

  12. Bahama Advice Needed

We have been full time cruisers for a year now. We started in St Louis, made our way through the river system to the Gulf coast, through Lake Okeechoobee, and up the East coast to New Bern, NC. We are getting ready to head south, and expect to arrive in Florida’s East coast by mid-December. We...

  15. 74 MY as a Motor Sailor

I was looking through some photos of this past summer. The boat in the picture is my 74 MY docked at Montauk Yacht Club. Sure looks like I have turned it into a motor sailor.

  17. BeUtiful new Italian Yacht

Hey guys. Check this out. Wow this thing is beautiful. Google cantieri di pisa 22. It's a little modern but check out the wood work in the staterooms. French doors and the whole 9 yards. It seems like a huge boat for a 74 footer. Must be the 21 beam. Steel hull displacement of 300 gross tons,...

  20. $35,000 quote for Amtico for a little over 430 square feet

The carpet in my boat is getting worn so I decided I'd get a quote to have Amtico teak and holly installed. The first carpeting/flooring guy came by and said my boat was too complicated so he would take a pass. Surprised me but if he doesn't want my money he doesn't. The only quote I've gotten...
