In process of selling my 1972 58' Hatteras Yachtfish. Buyer wants to see the hull number etched somewhere on the boat. I can not find it on the upper right corner of the transom. Any 1972 Yachtfish owners out there know where else it may be?

Have a 1973 38' Hatteras FBDC with starboard transmission locked in forward. When shifted to reverse, it kills the engine. Suppose it must be removed and rebuilt or replaced. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The troubleshooting guide gives three possible problems ... all sound quite serious.
