I've the same Series 1 48 Chris adn BobK and WalterP have, and mine has decking like Chris'. (No built in sun deck seating though!) My decks need refinishing. I started to strip and as I re-stained I got color blotches. (The stain was a WHOLE lot darker than the "didn't need re-staining"...

  3. Transom bonding question

The copper bonding strap running across the inside of the transom of my yachtfish (behind the water tank) is broken. Replacing this copper strap and reinstalling all of the bonding wires from the rudder posts, thru-hulls, trim tabs, etc. shouldn't be too difficult. However, I just realized...

  12. Imron over wood trim peeling

When my boat was repainted a couple of years ago the shop convinced me to paint the corner trim where the rear bulkhead joins the side of the deckhouse on my 36C. 20. Freon REcharge

Is it possible to charge the freon in AC units yourself? I have 2 out of 4 units that have slow leaks and need to be recharged with freon each year. Is this a DIY type of thing that I could get the freon for and do myself or is it regulated / dangerous? Thanks!
