  1. Help With Identifying Outriggers

Recentely bought the 84 36c. One spreader was bent and of course straightening it doesn't work well. Rupp says that the holders are Rupp but the poles are not theirs. Attached a couple of pics. Anyone with any ideas?

  2. New Outback 3232 thread

There are a zillion Outback Charger/Inverter threads here, but this one is relatively simple: I've gone ahead and bit the bullet. Order 2 Outbacks today, along with the Communication Hub and Mate. These will power three 32V banks (2 of which are starting and 1 is house). The starting banks...

  5. Fresh and salt water pumps

I am requesting comments regarding the original Galley Maid head pumps aboard our 1984, 53' MY "HoocH". The pumps were rebuilt about two years ago by Galley Maid but several things happen when used; A. they tend to overflow (seem to get out of cycle) when underway even though we only use...

  7. Source for Onan Generator parts

I am trying to locate a good source for Onan Generator parts. There used to be one in my area but it appears it is out of business. Looking on the web, I keep finding RV generator sources. I need a source that has an inventory of "older" generator parts. I have traced my problem to the Fuel...

  8. Yet another discussion on oil samples (Lock 'n load)

What I have here, are two jpegs since I could not load the pdfs to the site. One has some historical sample data for the last 4 years and one is of a sample that was taken back in '04. As we can all see it looks like the Iron numbers blipped quite a bit this time. Exactly why I wonder because...

  9. Replacing the modulating AC system on a Series I 58MY

I recall that some of the Series I 58MY owners here have undertaken the dreaded chore of replacing that somewhat unique modulating AC system in the lower level that serves all four of the staterooms; I just hope those folks are still lurking around here because I need to pick their brains. :) I’ve...

  11. Strands unwound on anchor rope splice

The strands have unwound at the end of the chain/rope slice. I presume from twisting as I don't use a swivel!?. The splice itself is great, but where the splice ends, the rope has unwound into three separate stands for about 10 inches. Can this be just untwisted and maybe bound with a strong...

  14. Headhunter pumps: great service!

We often gripe about poor customer service and tech support... We often see report of companies not supporting products after a few years and forcing you to buy a new one at a slightly reduced list price, often close to on line discounted prices. One of the manufacturer which doesn't play these...

  17. What is really needed in an inverter?

Best I can plan it, on Lilly Marie, an inverter would only run when neither the AC nor the stove is needed. The maximum inverter cycle would be between breakfast and dinner, 10 hours at most with 2 hours generator between. Powering the refrigerator, chest freezer, coffee maker, stereo, and...

  20. 32v to 12v

One the side walkways of my boat I have 6 32v Perko lights. They are getting too hot and literally "charing" the inside of the fixture. Would it help if I switched the power source and fixtures to 12v? Or better yet 12v and LEDs?
