  7. Twin Disk Gearbox leaking oil at coupling--is there room?

    My starboard gearbox has started flinging oil out of the coupling joint. it looks like the outer seal is not leaking.   10. Leaking windows and impact on hull

    looking at a mid 1990s boat that had windows that leaked over its life and needs some wood refinishing. Are the cored hulls sealed well at the window openings? or is the hull suspect. I have not decided to pass on the boat but thought I would ask for advice.

  12. Re-maned DD 8-71 TIC. Concern??

    Looking at a 53 Hatteras. Very nice Boat. Problem is I am not sure about engine situation. The starboard DD 8-71 TIC was replaced with a re-maned DD 8-71 TIC. The port engine was not removed but has new heads, injectors, Turbos, blower, water pump. Should I be concerned or excited? Thanks!
