  1. Poll Poll: Anchor types

Hello, I hope this is allowed as I am not advertising a product. I am just extremely curious as to what type/size anchors Hatteras Yacht users own and why they prefer them. Also any at anchors stories are greatly appreciated. Please remove if not allowed. Thank you.

  3. 12" Riser Replacement

With a sale pending on our 1987 36 Convertible, we need to replace the risers. 12" risers are no longer available. I have seen it suggested to bolt a 4" to an 8". How is that done?

  4. Passageway Wallcovering

53' FBMY. Need to replace the wall covering in the passageway between the engine rooms. The original seems to be a heavy vinyl and it has a "woven burlap" look. Has anyone sourced this original material or something that worked well? Thank you.

  5. Forward Hatch removal

53' FBMY.... want to replace the W/D in forward stateroom locker. It seems as if the S/R hatch opening without the frame and screen is large enough to accommodate both removing the old unit and bring new unit onboard. I removed the screws on the bottom of the frame, but it will not move. Looking...

  6. Holding tank pump out pickup location

1985 43' Motoryacht, I am trying to determine where the pickup tube is located for the holding tank pump out. What I think is it, is under the hatch in the V berth floor. But due to the exactly location there is no way it could be pulled out without cutting the floor. I'll try to post a picture of...

  8. TNT Woes

One side of my TNT tender lift dropped down this week. Port side fell about 8" lower than the starboard. I was able to get it back up but it is leaking fluid most likely from the cylinder. Any thoughts about replacing this in the water or do I have to haul the boat? Getting the boat hauled now...

  9. Galley Maid Freshwater Pump...

Need to rebuild the 12 volt electric motor on the Galley Maid freshwater pump and need to know how to remove the rotor from the shaft. 12. Starter RPM

Wondering if I am looking at rebuilding my starters. Having run all manner of diesels over my lifetime (very little marine time), I've seen the effect of too low a starter rpm--especially on non glow plug engines. I also understand temperature, compression, viscosity and battery condition play...

  13. Outback Inverter Stacking Anyone?

I have a 53 ED, 32 volt boat and I want to add an inverter(s), primarily so I can have 110v when running the boat without running the generator. 15. Holding tank cleaning??

I use typical holding tank chemicals readily available in marine stores, but whenever i use my vacuflush toilet, pretty bad smell comes out the vent line. 16. Why?

It's a simple question, and it's a serious question not borne of any emotion or preconception. Why, I ask, would anyone buy any Raymarine product given their level of product support? I've seen a number of negative postings from various sites; I've dismissed them as anomalies. But now I'm a...

  20. Sharp Convection Microwave Oven - Hatteras 39SX - Fuses in Power Supply?

Hello: This weekend the Sharp convection microwave oven in my vessel stopped working. This is the original oven which came with the vessel when new. Based on how it failed, I suspect it is a power supply problem. The question is, has anyone opened one of these up? If so, was there a fuse...
