  5. Lonmarine Flooring

Has anybody used Lonmarine flooring. We're about to re do the master head on our 46c and we need to pull up the flooring to address a soft spot about the size of a quarter. Lonmarine's Teak and Holley looks pretty close to the wood floor in our galley. There is some curvature in the floor so I'm...

  7. Another “What is it “ this time galley sink

Replaced the kitchen sink faucet this weekend. I’ve noticed this drain pipe before and just assumed it was the remnants of an old trash compactor or something since I have an old breaker marked as such. This time I decided to peek down inside and I can see what looks like a bundle of old poly...

  9. Monitoring System Ikssues

Hello fellow Hatteras owners,Has anyone had issues with monitoring system? My monitoring system on my 1988 67’ CPMY is trying to intermittently go off and sound an alarm. I say trying because the alarm is a low volume and broken up. It’s not a solid, loud tone like it should be. It will sound off...

  11. Moved: incidental finding while cleaning aftercoolers

I thought I had a thread about this, but evidently not... I pulled the aftercoolers from my Cummins engines to get them cleaned. While doing that, we noticed that the spigots screwed into the gear oil coolers, that send water to the PSS shaft seals, were broken off. They are brass. First...

  13. 903 heat exchanger”radiator” fitting for cap damaged.

It is cut all most completely off at the surface of the steel tank. Recommendations range from epoxy, silver solder or brazing. Everyone wants tank removed. Fifty year old bolt removals seems like a nightmare of problems. I’m thinking of connecting the fitting to the plate off the boat and then...

  16. Holding tank filling with sea water !

3/4 full light came on in rapid fashion. Should have been almost empty. Before I realized what was happening the tank started to fill with sea water. I was able to stop it by shutting off the two through hull fittings that feed the Galley Maid pumps to the V berth and guest heads. What's going...

I am not having any problems but am wondering what regular maintenance does the crane for my tender likely require. We replaced the electric switch and installed a new wire about 5 years ago but nothing else. Thanks for your thoughts Bruce Freestyle 1986 62 CPMY (54MY with ext)

  20. Engine start / stop circuit electrical drawing - late 80s

Can anyone please share a schematic of the main engine start / stop electrical circuit? My boat is a 1988 67’ cockpit motoryacht, it is very similar to 60’ motoryacht. I also assume that most of the boats of this vintage had a very similar arrangement - I know if I was the electrical engineer for...
