  4. Vacuflush vacuum switch adjustment

My forward head would take a long time to pump down due to over pumping. I adjusted that switch but now not enough vacuum and it looses vacuum and cycles now and then. Did not do this with too much vacuum. The guest head pumps to what seems to be correct vacuum but it has always lost vacuum (at...

  9. My Swim Platform repair project.

Much has been written about swim platform repairs but in my repair project, I found a bit of over engineering in the transom While hauled out to repair my trim tabs, I found the old bronze swim platform brackets had cracks right at the 90 degree welded joints. See the black circles. I...

I see that I have maxed out my allowance for posting pics. If I go to manage attachements and select any/all of them I assume they are removed from whichever posts they are in, right? I guess the only way to deal with it is to eliminate all pics prior to say, a month ago. Is there any other...

Curious: What is the cranking amps (or watts) required for a 12V71 32 volt starter motor please? At the moment we have 4 x 180ah deep cycle golf cart batteries in series to start each motor. But they do not give CCA.

  14. 42 Conv w/671N - Performance?

Can anyone comment on the performance to be expected from a 1970's 42 Conv. with 671N's? In reading the comments about the 43DC with 671N's, I'm worried that the 42Conv may just be a poor performer - it would be hard to have a conv and not be able to get it on a plane/ Many thanks, geo.

  15. Auto Pilot Swaying

Not with the boat right now but I think I have an older auto pilot 6000. I have been meaning to ask, what would be causing my auto pilot to sway about 5 to 10 degrees when activated. Some days it runs a lot more true than others? Checked the pressure in steering and made sure I have 30 lbs of...

  17. Crusair AC problem

Just started a summer cruise and have a problem with one of my AC units. The SMX display, which is the updated version, indicates that the AC thinks it is 0 degrees in the galley. Because of that, the unit will not go into the cool mode. I have tried a master reset, and to adjust up through...
