Our 12volt Ideal windlass was persona non grata today when time to weigh anchor! Lucky for me we were in 5 feet of water and I had my 275 lb Son on board!

Has been working fine with no issues. Today nothing does not have a breaker labeled I can find. Anyone have an easy troubleshooting guide? I have not looked for a diagram yet.

79 43 DC original installation

Thanks!

Call Ideal in the morning, they are very helpful and likely to know how yours was installed and wired.

Follow the leads right back to the battery, you may have a high (150 amp) in-line breaker installed instead of one on the panel. I do.

I have a switch in my port engine room. Granted I have a 58 yachtfish, but maybe the battery line go to your engine room.

Our 1975 36C had an ANL fuse mounted in the engine room.

1971 43DCMY. Barrel fuse mounted inline in anchor locker. I have also had to replace foot switch after water seeped past the cover.
