Looking for advice on stoage of tools, partc, etc

On my 47' Chris Craft Cdr I have a nice size room in front of my engine room that houses a/c units and has good space for storage of parts, tools, etc. What are some of the best methods you've found for making best use of such space for tool and parts storage. (shelving, cabinets, mike crates, etc?)

My favorite storage spot for tools is under the cushions of my salon L-shaped couch. It has a custom wooden frame that allows for a huge amount of storage. Beyond that I had shelves installed in all of my stateroom closets. I learned that the one closet I had with shelves every 10" or so was my favorite and most useful so I did that to all of the closets.

I suppose if I were living aboard, I would desire more hangars.
