That's the 40MY, not the 41DC from the early 70's, right?

Yes, some refer to it as a 40 others a 41.

I've never heard it referred to as a 41. Hatteras shows it as a 40 in their brochures. The 41DC was produced from 1962-1965. The 40 MY was produced from 1993-1996.

Doc records say the 1994 Hatt 40 MY is 40.8 ft. and the 1966 Hatt 41 DC is 39.4 ft. Go figure.

I have always heard the modern boat referred to as a 40 and the old classic as a 41.

40MY came out in 86 for the 87 model year.

I think they called that the 40DC. The later model was the 40MY.
