My generator sound enclosure is coverd with panels of mylar-faced foam. It appears to be more than just plain old foam, but whatever it is, it is starting to peel off and I'd like to replace it. I see lots of different materials, but I want someting very fire-resistant due to its proximity to the hot generator, and easy to maintain. Has anyone used any of the weighted vinyls for this purpose? Anything else to recommend other than sheets of lead?
