Sam's Marine debuts
www.propellerplace.com at the 2007 Fort Lauderdale International
Boat Show
Fort Lauderdale, FL - October 19, 2007
-
Sam's Marine will
introduce its unique propeller web site and inboard listing services at
the upcoming Fort Lauderdale Boat Show next week. The site is a joint
endeavor with its sister software company, ProNet Information Systems.
The web site will provide services to both boat owners and propeller
shops. Individuals with a spare propeller in their garage can list it on
the web site with a photo and save the buyer some money as well.
Propeller shops or manufacturers with an inventory of used or surplus
propellers can sign up as an affiliate and offer their used props on the
site as well.
"They say
necessity is the mother of invention so when we acquired a large number
of surplus propellers a while back, we used the internet to create a
place to move them. It's been so well received, we've expanded it to
work with others in the marine industry as well.” said company
spokesperson Doug Langley. The propeller place display will be at tent
904 at the Bahia Mar exhibits during the show.

Hatteras
Yachts
Forms Parts Alliance With Sam's Marine International, Inc.
New Bern, North Carolina -
September 12, 2000
For over four decades, Hatteras’
reputation of providing superior products with unmatched customer
service has been a trademark of the company that has led the industry.
In an effort to continue to provide Hatteras owners with the
service and sourcing of replacement parts, which has become part of the
Hatteras tradition, the company has announced a strategic partnership
with Sam’s Marine International, Inc. to supply
parts for the “vintage” Hatteras.
Sam’s Marine International, located in Ramseur, North Carolina was the
brainchild of it’s principal, Steve McPherson, who worked in the
Hatteras parts and service department for over twenty-seven years.
“I’ve worked with Hatteras customers to help maintain their boats
and supply the right replacement parts almost all my life”, says Steve.
“By having us concentrate on the older Hatteras product, it gives the
manufacturer an added dimension and lets them focus more on current
models”.
“We are excited about our relationship with Sam’s Marine”, stated Chuck
Cameron, Hatteras’ Assistant Director of Service.
“The knowledge and experience that Steve brings to this partnership
allows us to maintain a concentrated effort on parts availability for
our vintage yachts.
Steve will focus his efforts on parts and the factory service team
will continue to answer all customer service questions regarding these
yachts. Parts, as well as customer service, for current production
models will continue to be handled by our in house team”.
To strengthen this effort even further, Hatteras recently formed an
alliance with a small boat manufacturer to provide Sam’s Marine with
most small fiberglass parts, abs plastic parts and molded flybridge
windshields.
Sam’s Marine maintains over
8,000 square feet in warehouse space with the
ability to ship factory authorized replacement components to Hatteras
owners worldwide.
